On June 22, 2012, six staff members volunteered their time to serve dinner for the York County Shelter Programs’ (YCSP) summer dinner program known as Mama Mias. Throughout the summer, YCSP provides an all you can eat pasta and pizza meal to the community for $10 (adult) and $5 (kids). YCSP provides the food and cooks and prepares it, while area volunteers come and serve and clean up. The money earned goes to support dinner program as well as other important programs that YCSP offers.
Staff members convened early Friday afternoon in Alfred at the Shelter’s dining room, donned aprons and hats and served up quite a feast for local residents. Everyone seemed satisfied as they left the dining area. Staff members had a great time mingling with residents and enjoying the volunteer opportunity away from the office.
Molleur Law Office is proud of its affiliation with YCSP. We are a regular financial supporter of the organization and we also donate food items during the holidays. We hope to make our service to YCSP a regular occurrence.
