Stark and Hayden Attend Conferences

Andrea Stark and Jennifer Hayden recently attended educational conferences to enhance their skills in consumer litigation and consumer bankruptcy law.  Andrea attended the National Consumer Law Center Annual Conference in Philadelphia in October which included programs in auto fraud litigation, bankruptcy law, and mortgage foreclosure prevention.  NCLC is one of the premier consumer law organizations providing support and education for consumer law attorneys across the United States.  NCLC's series of consumer law educational manuals provide the roadmaps for success in assisting consumers in their legal fights against large bsiness interests.  Andrea's participation in the conference enables our office to remain at the forefront of consumer litigation in the State of Maine.

Jen attended the 2009 Bankruptcy Law Conference in Boston sponsored by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.  The Conference included both consumer and business bankruptcy sessions and featured a seminar by bankruptcy judges from Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.  The topics focused on issues presented to bankruptcy attorneys at the outset of bankruptcy cases, during the middle of difficult cases, and bankruptcy discharge issues which can affect the end of bankruptcy cases.  Jen learned new techniques for assisting our clients through complicated problems encountered by some of our bankruptcy clients.
