On September 11, 2006, James Molleur moderated a panel of two speakers, Maine Bankruptcy Judge James B. Haines, Jr. and Peter Fessenden, Chapter 13 Trustee for the State of Maine, for the York County Bar Association. The YCBA seminar was held in Saco Maine and addressed the changes in the practice of law under the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) which became effective in October 2005. The seminar provided general practice attorneys with an overview of some of the most important changes in bankruptcy law, and identified some of the "winners" and "losers" under the new law.
