Getting Started with Bankruptcy
We need the following items to start the bankruptcy process.
General Bankruptcy
- Two recent pay stubs;
- Last year’s tax return;
- List of creditors with approximate amounts owed;
- Loan documents on vehicle(s) and balance owed;
- Any pending litigation (including divorce, foreclosures, small claims, etc.);
- Current mortgage documents (including 2nd or 3rd mortgages) and balances owed;
- If you have refinanced your mortgage two or more times in the past three years, please bring in your loan documents that you received at the closing.
- If you have had a vehicle repossessed or threatened to be repossessed, please bring in all notices that you received regarding the repossession, both before and after the repossession.
Business Bankruptcy
- Two recent pay stubs;
- Last year’s tax return;
- List of creditors with approximate amounts owed;
- Loan documents on vehicle(s) and balance owed;
- Any pending litigation (including divorce, foreclosures, small claims, etc.);
- Mortgage document (including 2nd or 3rd mortgages) and balances owed.
Business Documents
- Profit and Loss Reports for the past six months;
- Business tax returns for the last two years;
- List of creditors with approximate amounts owed;
- List of business assets with approximate auction value;
- List of pending litigation.
