Andrea Bopp Stark, Esq., Jennifer Hayden, Esq., and Tanya Sambatakos, Esq. were honored by the Katahdin Council for their pro bono legal work they provided to people in the community. They provided over 50 hours of legal services each throughout the year to low-income clients who otherwise would not be able to afford an attorney.
The Katahdin Council Recognition Program recognizes and honors the pro bono work by lawyers in Maine and encourages additional legal representatives to offer such services for low income residents of the State of Maine. The Portland Press Herald ran an article recently about Katahdin Counsel honorees, found here.
Andrea Bopp Stark was recognized for helping homeowners in foreclosure and also mentoring other attorneys to represent homeowners in foreclosure proceedings. Jennifer Hayden and Tanya Sambatakos also were honored for providing bankruptcy related services to the community.
